BIG NEWS THIS MONTH!

Two weeks of much needed rain caused mudslides in the Glenwood Canyon. (click here). So, access to our already hard to get to Aspen, is now more difficult. The easiest alternative route is to drive over Independence Pass (pictured above) and happens to be one of the most scenic byways in Colorado (click here). We just received news that the Glenwood Canyon will open one way in each direction on Saturday. (click here)

We have been blessed with that perfect mountain summer weather-80 daytime and 50 at night. The rains stopped the fire danger, so our hiking, biking, golfing, pickleball, tennis, etc is full speed. All our cultural events are open and even the Belly Up opened to full capacity.

Summer guests to the Dude Ranch at Bair Creek are thrilled they opened access (click here). We are industrious mountain folk who always figure out a way. So, even though Aspen is very “sophisticated” with our new Covid transplants, you will find that Cowboy get it done attitude from the old locals!!
REAL ESTATE UPDATE
It feels like the real estate market has calmed down, but for you buyers, the prices are definitely sometimes 50% higher than last summer. We are always looking for opportunities and even calling unlisted properties.
RESTAURANT UPDATES!
Our restaurants are thriving and with each new addition,
it ups the game for the others.

Casa D' Angelo opened last week in the former Pinions space- a favorite restaurant of mine from South Florida. The updated light and bright look is very welcoming and the true Italian fare is magnificent. My girlfriend, Lonna, and I sat at the very friendly bar last night served by Brady. The Polpo (Octopus) was the best we ever tasted, and he poured generous drinks. We will definitely bring our husbands back! Angelo, himself was cooking. They will rotate back and forth from Boca Raton.

We also have Nakazawa on our list and 7908 with the Chef who competed in Top Chef last spring.
