Summer is in full swing at the library!  Tickets are on sale now at the library for our Sipping for Summer Reading soiree at Miguel's of Belfast.  All proceeds from this event go straight to our summer reading program.  Kids are already reading up a storm for our SuperHero themed reading challenge, and events started up last week.  A new " Makerspace" program will be held on Friday mornings for kids interested in building with legos, kinects, and more!

Summer reading isn't just for the kids anymore - we have teen and adult programs, too!  Those who take part in our teen and adult reading challenges get a chance to win a variety of prizes!  Details for all three reading programs are below.

Heading to the beach or looking for a gift for a special someone who loves to read?  You can purchase a Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity canvas bag full of new paperback books for $15.

Stay cool this summer at the library!

MakerSpace for Children
Makerspaces are creative, DIY spaces where people can gather to create, invent and learn.  They have been popping up throughout the United States.

Through the generosity of a grant from the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley, our library has created a children's Makerspace in our children's room.  Children of all ages and their parents are invited to join us for a fun hour of creativity every Friday morning from June 26th to August 7th from 10:30 to 11:30.  No registration is required.
Summer Reading Update
Summer Reading Programs for all ages have officially begun at the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity. Find out how you and your family can earn chances to win prizes by reading and/or listening to books from our library. All you need i s our library card to register! But, don't delay because all reporting must be completed by Saturday, August 8th.

Children's Program

Children are challenged to read for 10 hours over the course of the Summer Reading Program. In addition to the reading challenge, there are many special events scheduled. Because of limited space, pre-registration for each event is required. A sign-up list is placed on the Children's Desk one week prior to each event. No telephone or online registration is available. A list of the events can be found on our webpage.

Teen & Adult Programs

Adults and teens (entering 7th grade to 12th grade) are challenged to read library books of their own choice. Just list the titles on the tally sheet, bring it to the library, and you will receive a raffle ticket for each book you read. Teens can choose which $25 gift card(s) they want to enter to win while adults can choose which prize(s) they would like to enter to win. The more you read the more chances you have to win!

In addition, teens are welcome to participate in Literary Lunches. They are held at noon on Wednesdays. Bring a brown-bag lunch and we'll provide a treat! You need to register as soon as possible, as space is limited. Books will be provided when you register:
