Curley Community Center Beach Remains Closed

While the work of the building project is complete and the magnificent new indoor facilities are ready to be used by thousands of children, seniors, and others, unfortunately, the opening of the beaches has been delayed again.

I share the frustration of residents who are disappointed in the City of Boston’s lack of timely responsiveness in submitting the required Beach Operations Management Plan (BOMP) to the state in time for the outdoor facilities and beach at the Curley Center to be opened to the public. That is why I called on the Conservation Commission to hold an emergency meeting so we can get the only beach run by the City of Boston open while it is still summer!
