REC’s Summer Savings Plan is a free, voluntary program that allows most residential members to receive a rebate for using less electricity on specific days in the summer. Members who choose to participate will receive a bill credit based on how much energy they save during these times. For every kilowatt hour (kWh) saved, you will earn 75 cents in bill credits, which adds up quickly.

Remember: Fans Cool People, Not Rooms. Turn off ceiling fans when you leave the room, only running them when someone is occupying the room. Using a ceiling fan allows you to turn up the thermostat about 4°F without any loss in comfort. When you shower, use the bathroom fan to remove heat and humidity from your home.
