MOST ASKED QUESTIONS:

Why so many weeds in my yard?

Georgia's warm, humid climate creates favorable conditions for weed growth, making them a common problem for homeowners.

Weeds are considered opportunistic and grow when conditions are favorable, such as warm temperatures and high moisture levels. They can even grow in cracks in the roads, sidewalks or driveways. Weeds have the ability to grow anywhere there's room.

Our teams try to stay on top of the weeds in the non-flowering beds by spraying weed killer but the rain has been washing away the product and making our task difficult.

We appreciate your patience as we work really hard to keep up with the weeds.

For your turf, we strongly suggest you contact a Turf Care company, that would apply herbicides (weeds) and fungicides (fungus) to keep your grass healthy.

MAY PROJECTS

Here are some of the projects we did last month.

Click on pictures for more... Or find the projects posted on our Facebook page HERE.

CINCO DE MAYO

We started the month by celebrating "Cinco de Mayo".

PATIO & BACKYARD UPGRADE

For this project we removed a concrete pad that was not draining properly, and replaced it with a nice paver patio. We also installed a fieldstone wall to make a sitting area in the backyard to enjoy the pretty landscape. We left an area open around the gravel patio for the client to plant some flowering ground cover. Then we replaced the front left side fence. The original fence had its day, and was happy to be upgraded.

MULCH, SLATE, PINE STRAW REFRESH

Mulch, slate chips and pine straw refresh for this beautiful backyard oasis we created last year. It is very rewarding to know this family is really enjoying their outdoor space.

SOD INSTALLATIONS

Here are 2 jobs one of our teams did in May.

First, was a sod repair with some good old 419 Bermuda for a returning client.

Second, was a rework of a previous job we did. Originally, we had tried to grade the soil so that the water would drain away from the patio naturally. But since the ground was so level it didn’t work out. So we made a new plan and installed some channel drains to give the water somewhere to go. Then drained them off to the side yard

LANDSCAPE LIGHTS

For this project we installed LED Sollos landscape lighting. Landscape lighting brings drama and beauty to your home and landscape at night.

CONCRETE REPAIR

On this job, we had to repair a cracked driveway slab that was poured over a sinkhole. We fixed the sink hole and re-poured the driveway. We also installed some pvc drains and fixed an area where water was getting into the home.

NLC GIVES BACK.. to the birds!

Since our neighbor on the left removed ALL of his trees, the birds have been homeless since. So we created little bird houses for them. The birds seem to enjoy them.

Special thanks to Luke who built the houses and Shane who painted and secured them on the poles.

We will add more…
