On July 11,
Montgomery County’s Interagency Commission on Homelessness (ICH) hosted a Community Memorial Service to commemorate the lives of 31 people in our community who died in the last year and experienced homelessness. MCCH CEO Susie Sinclair-Smith and other community leaders shared the names and stories of those who passed away, including several MCCH clients.
In partnership with
Silver Branch Brewing Co., MCCH is excited to announce our first ever Trivia Night fundraiser! We're calling all young professionals to join us for a night of beer and brainpower to compete for great prizes while supporting MCCH and the people we serve!
All ticket proceeds and $1 from each beer sold will go directly to MCCH
In our Urgent Needs Facebook Group, generous community members provide urgently needed items to MCCH clients. Many of these donations may seem small in the long run, but they can have a powerful impact.
In June, o
ur Urgent Needs Task Force group provided over $1,200 worth of items! Although it may seem like a small gesture, donating these items shows our clients that their community cares about them. When recovering from the trauma of homelessness, that reminder can be a glimmer of light in the darkness.
Join our Facebook grouptoday to directly support MCCH clients by donating the items they need!
