They participated through KDB's Special Cleanup program, where we provide cleanup supplies and a location for you and your group to cleanup. They certainly did a great job the various times they went out - thanks so much!

July's Yard of the Month Winners
802 Rose St - Jorge and Gladis Sanchez
Jorge and Gladis were excited to win this month's Yard of the Month! The yard received three separate nominations this month, making it a clear eye-catcher within the community!
701 Ridgecrest
This yard is a green oasis. The owner describes it as a Native Fairy Garden. It is filled with Texas natives and garden gnomes. Previous owners designed the yard and current residents used their hard work to build what is an outstanding yard on the block.
1100 Ector - Tyler and Nicole
After having a professional design a landscape plan, the whole family has made it a reality by installing drip irrigation, planting native plants, laying mulch, providing pollinators, birds and insects food, protection and water. There are a variety of roses, one of which has been on the property since the house was built in the 50s. The homeowners use DynoDirt.
525 Northridge - The Alexander Family
The Alexanders have lived in this home since 2001.
Each year a bit more lawn goes away and beautiful deeply mulched beds are created. They inherited two magnificent old trees in the front yard and add ornamental and fruit trees every year, including several from the Keep Denton Beautiful Tree Give way. This young family enjoys the great out of doors and creating the perfect yard to suit their needs in the front as well as the back.
1819 Mistywood - Tim
Tim uses DynoDirt on his lawn. The beautiful trees that populate his yard provide some shade for visitors, and the plants that line the fence make his home look that much more inviting. Tim was honored to receive the award, and takes great pride in adding some beauty to his block.
At the annual Keep Texas Beautiful Conference in Georgetown, KDB was recognized as a Gold Star Affiliate, and the Denton community was recognized with four different statewide awards. Read about it and see photos on the KDB
blog.
We kicked-off our Cigarette Litter Prevention Program with a ribbon cutting at the newest cigarette butt receptacle in Quakertown Park. Read about it and how you can get involved in CLPP events on the KDB
