This Last Quarter was One for the Books!

Summer is here, but the sun is not the only thing shining. We've got some spotlights of our own to shine. From our stop on the Community Developers Roundtable tour, brought by Innovan Neighborhoods, to successful workshops to connecting with previous interns. Put on your sunscreen, cause this forecast calls for a lot of shine!

Community Developers Bus Tour

The Community Developers Roundtable got on the road for a bus tour! The inaugural cohort got the chance to showcase its development and history to an array of visitors. We were the first stop in South Dallas. SouthFair was thrilled to share about its 32 year history!

More than Just a Homeowner

Just a few weeks ago, Shanay and Dallas Wise appeared on the Tamron Hall Show to raving reviews from the host herself regarding Dallas' cookie business, Dallas-Sized Cookies.

Shanay Wise was one of our guest speakers at our free virtual homeownership workshop, where she shared how her experience in a SouthFair home has helped her business!

And be on the lookout for Dallas for our Teens Financial Literacy class in July, where he will speak.

Two years ago, we highlighted the Wise family, featuring Shanay and Dallas, the powerhouse mother-son entrepreneur duo!

School Donation Drive

We are starting this year's school donation drive. If you would like to lend a hand in supporting our residents, please make monetary donations through our PayPal (you don't need a PayPal account) or Zelle using info@southfaircdc.org. Have another form of giving (check, supplies?), please reach out to Executive Director, Annie Evans, annie.evans@southfaircdc.org. You can also gift stock, using DonateStock. We will take donations through September 1st.

North Texas Giving Day

In September, we'll be accepting gifts with North Texas Giving Day towards our $50,000 goal. Last year, we received $32,820 because of givers like you. We're growing our capacity and when we receive such financial support, we're able to continue our mission of revitalizing South Dallas by providing sustainable (affordable) housing to our community.

North Texas Giving Day takes place September 21, 2023 (with early donors able to give on September 1). If you're looking to help sooner than that, you can always show your support through PayPal, DonateStock, or contact our Executive Director, Annie Evans, annie.evans@southfaircdc.org.

Former Interns -- #SouthFairConnects

SouthFair has had the opportunity to host brilliant talent in our office -- in the form of interns. Each one going on to accomplish incredible things. We wanted to highlight two of our previous interns: Quayvius Grisworld and Stephanie Granados.

Bowl & Brew

Our last Bowl and Brew was such a success, we decided to give you another chance to join in on the fun... whether it be your first or second time this year. Looking to be a sponsor? Click here.
