Greetings Friends!
WELCOME TO THE GLORIOUS DAYS OF SUMMER

We love the temperature variations in the mountains! When the rains started Tuesday afternoon, the temperature dropped from mid 80’s to the high 50’s! This moisture is a welcome respite and makes hiking more pleasant. The wildflowers are brilliant up Castle Creek and Maroon Bells. We have booked a few days in Silverton-the ATV (All terrain vehicle-4 wheel) “Capital” and “little Switzerland” of Colorado. The high country trails have breath taking views and lots of colorful blooms.
REAL ESTATE UPDATE
Every price range is selling and there just does not seem to be enough inventory to meet the demand. I am calling old friends with unlisted property to see if they want to take advantage of this market. If you have any interest in selling, this is the time. There are also Aspen Homeowners who appreciate a little lower altitude and are selling here to move downvalley. Aspen elevation is 7908 and Basalt is closer to 6,600 feet. The valley slowly falls to 5,760 in Glenwood. Remember to drink lots of water, Gatoraid, and Emerg-n-c at these elevations!
RESTAURANT UPDATES!

The Aspen restaurants have done a great job with tables outside. Some favorites are: Clark’s Oyster Bar, Duemani, Little Nell Hotel, and MiChola. Of course, you all know about Pinions selling to Casa d’Angelo of Southern Florida; Woody Creek Tavern selling to Craig and Samatha C. Pierce; and Jimmy’s changing hands in September. Catch will open for the winter season.
The Red Onion bar and restaurant closed in December due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The city of Aspen accepted the project application on June 4 and anticipates a four-month timeline on the renovation. CLICK HERE FOR ARTICLE
Woody Creek Tavern
Additional patio space served them well amid the pandemic and its new owners intend to keep the extra space intact even as COVID-19 restrictions dissipate.
Catch Steak is slated to open this winter in the 10,000-square-foot space currently occupied by Scarlett’s and Bootsy Bellows, Catch co-owner Mark Birnbaum said Friday. CLICK HERE FOR ARTICLE
