We always look forward to June, because that is when athletes from around the country come together in Los Angeles for the Angel City Games!

The Angel City Games is a celebration of adaptive sport, and this year we were proud to once again be sponsors of this powerful event. We also had a booth to share information about our forthcoming abuse prevention program, Courage First !

The Aspen Ideas Festival is a gathering of leaders from around the world to explore the issues that shape our lives and challenge our times. We were incredibly honored to attend the festival, share our film At the Heart of Gold, and participate in a panel discussion after the film .

Special thanks go to Sister Survivors and Courage First advocates, Trinea Gonczar and Jessica Ann Smith , for joining us and sharing their experiences and thoughts. The topic centered on how to start the difficult conversations with children and adults around abuse, in particular abuse in sport.

GSD Executive Board Members and ATHOG film producers, Dr. Steven Ungerleider and David Ulich , also participated in the panel discussion.
