• A few spots are still open for golfers and opportunities for your business to become a Sponsor. Call the Mattoon Chamber for more information. Check in begins at 10:30 AM, with the putting contest and lunch at 11:00, and GOLF starts at noon. There will be three chances at a Hole-in-One, a Putting Contest, 50/50 Raffle, Closets-to-the-Pin, Straightest Drive, and Longest Putt contests, and more.

• Grab your lawn chair and friends for this week's edition of movies in Lytle Park, brought to you by the Mattoon Library. Movie starts at dark, is free and open to the public.

June 27-29 Mattoon Pride Summer Blast Softball Tournament

• Mattoon Pride is hosting softball this weekend at the Round House Complex. No gate fee for this weekends event. Find more information on Mattoon Pride Athletics on Facebook.

June 28 Mattoon Knight of Columbus Race to the Cross, 8am

• Come run a one of its kind course and support a great cause- the race route is in the shape of a cross and will support the Mattoon to Peoria St. Jude Run Team. Race time is 8:00 a.m. Race day registration and packet pickup from 6:30 until 7:45. There will be door prizes, standard post race nutrition, age group awards, and cash prizes for overall male and female winners.
