LAAC Advocacy Update

State Budget: Though we won't know the final details of the budget until the Governor announces it later this month, we are hopeful that the Governor's proposal for $20 million in funding for civil legal aid in housing is part of the final budget. For all other budget alerts, follow the California Budget and Policy Center and  Western Center on Law and Poverty.

AB 330: LAAC continues to closely follow and support  AB 330 (Gabriel),  which will expand funding for the Shriver Pilot projects by more than double. The bill will be heard before the Senate Judiciary Committee on June 18th   If you are interested in the details of AB 330, or if you'd like to know how you can support the bill, contact Lorin Kline at  lkline@laaconline.org .
