The kids are heading back to school, but summer fun is still in full swing! The Pros have been hard at work this summer creating and maintaining beautiful spaces to enjoy the rest of the season and into the fall, like our newly finished Carmel project, which featured Techo Bloc's Para and Industria pavers with Raffinato wall block in the outdoor kitchen. We have loved seeing the designs come to life and how these new outdoor spaces are being used. It hasn't been all work and no play around the Property Pros office though! Check out these pictures from our annual summer cookout.

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Rene Quevedo! Rene was with Ken-Cut for 9 years before we acquired their company and he came to work for Property Pros earlier this year. Through the transition, he has been an invaluable member of the team as a Crew Leader in our Commercial Mowing Division. Rene guides his crew with quality and client satisfaction as top priorities, and he is always eager to get the job done right. We know coming to a new company can have a lot of challenges, but Rene has been a leader in learning our technology and adapting to our processes. We appreciate his great attitude and reliability, and we are so lucky to have Rene on our team. Thank you, Rene, for everything you do for Property Pros!
Grilled Mexican Street Corn on the Cob
Also called elotes, this street corn is the perfect appetizer or side dish for any outdoor gathering. Topped with cotija cheese, chopped cilantro, chili powder, and a squeeze of lime, it will leave all your guests asking for more!
Ingredients
  • 6 medium-size ears of yellow corn on the cob
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or melted butter
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ½ teaspoon chile powder
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice plus wedges of a lime for serving
  • ½ cup crumbled cotija cheese
  • 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions
  1. To prep the corn: Fold the husk of each corn back leaf by leaf and tie them with kitchen twine. Lightly brush corn on the cub with oil.
  2. Heat a grill pan or an outdoor grill. Grill corn, turning occasionally until it is browned in spots. Keep an eye on it as this happens rather quickly.
  3. To make the sauce: Mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, chile powder, and lime juice in a bowl.
  4. Brush each grilled corn the mayo mixture and sprinkle with cotija cheese. Garnish with cilantro and serve.
