The kids are heading back to school, but summer fun is still in full swing! The Pros have been hard at work this summer creating and maintaining beautiful spaces to enjoy the rest of the season and into the fall, like our newly finished Carmel project, which featured Techo Bloc's Para and Industria pavers with Raffinato wall block in the outdoor kitchen. We have loved seeing the designs come to life and how these new outdoor spaces are being used. It hasn't been all work and no play around the Property Pros office though! Check out these pictures from our annual summer cookout.

A backyard gathering isn’t complete without listening to your favorite tunes! Although your Bluetooth speaker has been your go-to thus far, isn’t it time to liven up the party with an upgrade? Sonance speakers will transform your music from being an afterthought, to being the center of attention. These speakers can be installed underground with a subwoofer, or with satellite speakers for surround sound, all powered from a single amplifier. They are ideal for providing coverage on up to 1,000 sq ft spaces, making the system perfect for fire-pits, small patios, or hot tub areas. Plus, these outdoor speakers can integrate into smart home-controlled apps you may already be using in your home. So who’s ready to turn it up?

Between poolside games, steaks on the grill, and cocktails by the evening fire, this project is truly the backyard trifecta.
This project is unique for Property Pros in its modern to mid-century modern design, using clean lines and simplistic styling. Our designer incorporated their existing built-in grill area into the plan and created a seamless transition to the gathering space and into the new pool area. Though there are so many stunning features of this modern design that draw attention, it’s these little details that will keep this outdoor living area looking and functioning its best for years to come.
|
|
|
Additional Project Features:
- Large concrete patio with diamond-cut control joints
- Lined pool with a sun-shelf, deck jets, and color-changing LED lights
- Hot tub with raised composite deck
- Square gas-fueled fire pit
- Outdoor lighting
- Natural stone walkway
|
|
Details like a special buffer ring around the fire pit to allow for concrete expanding and contracting, as well as a creative drainage solution that draws water away from the pool and out to the lawn.
With defined spaces created for unwinding and relaxation, this space can truly be enjoyed by everyone all summer (and fall) long.

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Rene Quevedo! Rene was with Ken-Cut for 9 years before we acquired their company and he came to work for Property Pros earlier this year. Through the transition, he has been an invaluable member of the team as a Crew Leader in our Commercial Mowing Division. Rene guides his crew with quality and client satisfaction as top priorities, and he is always eager to get the job done right. We know coming to a new company can have a lot of challenges, but Rene has been a leader in learning our technology and adapting to our processes. We appreciate his great attitude and reliability, and we are so lucky to have Rene on our team. Thank you, Rene, for everything you do for Property Pros!

Grilled Mexican Street Corn on the Cob
Also called elotes, this street corn is the perfect appetizer or side dish for any outdoor gathering. Topped with cotija cheese, chopped cilantro, chili powder, and a squeeze of lime, it will leave all your guests asking for more!

Ingredients
- 6 medium-size ears of yellow corn on the cob
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or melted butter
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ½ teaspoon chile powder
- 1 tablespoon lime juice plus wedges of a lime for serving

- 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
Instructions
- To prep the corn: Fold the husk of each corn back leaf by leaf and tie them with kitchen twine. Lightly brush corn on the cub with oil.
