Pour at the Park, North Park
Forget that summer is almost over for one more night! Join us at the Pour at the Park in the historic North Park Lodge. Enjoy tastings from some of the region's newest craft brewers and spirit distillers, bites from an eclectic assortment of restaurants, live music and more. Every ticket supports the Allegheny County Parks Foundation's work to improve all nine county parks.

Here's your chance to find out what's going on inside a meadow when you might expect it would be closing up for business. Join the Parks Foundation and Penn State Master Gardeners of Allegheny County at the Indian Hill Meadow in Boyce Park for a free, relaxing stroll through the meadow and learn how busy our meadow actually is in the fall.

Citizen Scientist Watch, Bumble Bees

As a Citizen Scientist, you'll learn the important role insects play in our environment and how to use your skills of observation to record the number of bumble bees you see. Staff from the Parks Foundation and the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania will be on hand to walk you through how to be a Citizen Scientist and help increase our understanding of the science of bumble bees.

Project Spotlight
And so it begins...

Activity has started at the new Hartwood Acres Sculpture Garden . The first sculpture has been moved for restoration at a conservator in Ohio.
Watch for more sculptures leaving their current locations through early October for much needed facelifts. They are expected to return within the next year.

Thanks to all our guests and sponsors for their support at our third annual Twilight Picnic for the Parks . You helped us raise a record $360,000 this year. All proceeds from the event support the Parks Foundation in the planning and implementation of projects in all nine Allegheny County Parks.
