Street Dance: 6-7 volunteers on Wednesday, August 5th
Grounds Supervisor: In charge of keeping grounds running smoothly. Will supervise crew of 16-20 working security, trash removal, water and power management, etc. This is a critically important job and must be filled by someone completely dependable and able to be on-site throughout the event.
Grounds - cleanup crew 16-20
Dining area - 25-30 volunteers to do chairs/tables setup and cleaning tables
Sound & Stage Crew: Assist with the sound and stage requirements of the performances.
Coordinator's and Director's Assistants: Assist Coordinator and/or Director in all areas of orchestrating the event, from setup to takedown. Must be smart, reliable, and hard-working!
Entrance Staff: count # of visitors coming into Summerfest, answer basic questions, collect donations.
Volunteer Tent: 8 volunteers to get volunteers checked in/out and direct them on their shifts.
Children's Art Yard Assistants: Help children make crafts, play games, and participate in puppetry/storytelling activities.
Hospitality Crew: Keep international performers fed and hydrated and help solve any backstage issues.
Vendor Liaison: Ensure food vendors and artists have everything they need and are following the event rules.
Runners: 3-4 volunteer to run errands, assist where needed, etc.
Extra hands: Sign up for a few hours here and there. We can always use an extra pair of helping hands!
BDAC front desk: 10 (3 per day, 3-4 hours shifts)
Host Families: Host international performers in your home between Sunday, August 2nd and Monday, August 10th. Get to know another culture, enjoy a free party at the Rec Center, and help spread friendship around the globe!
