Summertime Summertime Sum Sum Summertime!
Hello, and welcome to this month's The Eleven, my monthly e-letter.

I've been having quite a Summer - I hope you have, too. Full of lots of music festivals.  I could write a book about my 6 years at the Beloved Sacred Art and Music Festival which just finished up on Monday. It's a great example of how we can all live a much healthier life together as things become more like life there. Healthy food, living in little villages, making music together, dancing, lots of yoga, fresh air, salty sea air, and people taking time with each other to check in, massage each other, meditate, take time for themselves, wander in the woods, and stay up late into the night and dance.  I've been posting links to photo sets on my FB page - if we're not friends yet, please remedy that :)

I'm in awe of the people who put this festival on. There is so much magic, so many incredibly talented and smart people are attracted. I often talk about it as my "mens' workshop", too, and I find it's a time when I'm able to connect with many of my male friends and we make time for each other. That can be hard in our regular lives. I wish it weren't so. One of my favorite things in life is to get together with someone and have the time be open-ended and see what we can do with 4-8 hours together. Ah, if life were only that spacious always, right?

Breathing in, breathing out. Reflecting. Taking Stock.  Considering what I have learned and how that might affect the trajectory of my life. Considering who I just met and how they fit into my already complex and full life of community, family and friends.

And, continuing to encourage the planting of trees.
And, continuing to raise important topics like population growth and our consumption levels.
And, continuing to support my friends.
While our lives unfold.
Thanks for being there.  With me.

I hope you're enjoying the Summer and are getting recharged through relaxation, delicious healthy and nutritious food and drink, and reconnection with nature and friends.

todays' soundtrack brought to you by the Rolling Stones. This is a song I got to enjoy at a very young age with some amazing stereo equipment and headphones. I recommend turning it up.
