Summertime Travel
Just when we thought the worst of airline maladies was behind us, we receive the announcement from the FAA warning airlines to cut flights for the peak summer travel season due to staff shortages. The New York area, in particular, may be impacted by those shortages. So, for the many of us who will be transiting this summer through La Guardia, JFK, or Newark, we will need to plan ahead and to pack our patience.
On a more cheerful note, Holland America is celebrating its landmark 150th anniversary. Birthday events took place in Rotterdam and Amsterdam in recognition of the cruise line’s longevity. Two descendants from the two families that originated the line were on hand for the festivities.
