| Last Chance! Gifted Older Adults Discussion Group Starts Next Week |
- As you get older, it is harder to make meaningful connections or find your tribe?
- Do you want to better understand your giftedness and its impact on your life?
- Do you have a parent or grandparent who might be interested?
Just a few spaces remain for this open-ended discussion group for older adults 55+ who are gifted or twice-exceptional (formal identification not required). Facilitated by Summit Center's Paula Wilkes, PhD, discussion may include topics like overexcitabilities, multi-potentiality, sensitivities, unmasking our giftedness, unpacking who we are, and more. Meet virtually with like-minded peers, Tuesdays starting Apri 22 at 10:00 am (Pacific).

Our strong-willed and sensitive 2e kids often cause us to stop in our “automatic pilot” tracks with intense outbursts, melt downs, and power struggles that baffle us. Summit Center’s Dr. Loraine Van Tuyl will reveal the inner worlds of her child clients and why they become more cooperative, resilient, and regulated when we slow down and become more aware of our parental presence and priorities. This FREE webinar will take place online *tomorrow* Wednesday, April 16, at 12 noon PDT. |
Reel 2e of Palo Alto presents Rachel Kapp, a board-certified educational therapist and co-host of Learn Smarter: The Educational Therapy Podcast, for “Supporting Executive Functioning at Home and in School: A 2e Perspective” on Wednesday, May 7, at 7:00 pm via Zoom. For 2e learners, traditional methods for developing executive functioning skills often fall short. This event will shed light on why these approaches might not work and introduce tailored strategies to help children thrive. |
