Virtual Therapy Groups Forming Now for Children & Teens
Does your child, teen, or young adult need extra support this spring? Summit Center is offering focused weekly therapeutic discussion groups beginning the week of February 28. Each group is led by one of our experienced professionals and meets virtually for 6 weeks. Groups are forming for the following interests and ages:
Exploring the Existential, with Dr. Melanie Hayes (young adults)
Unstuck: Executive Functioning Skills for Middle Schoolers, with Dr. Rupa Robbins (6th-8th graders)
Gifted Teens, with Dr. Lisa Hancock (14-18 years old)
The Worry Warriors, with Dr. Ellena Chen (4th-5th graders)

writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, lost his son 12 years ago and this tragedy was the motivation behind his podcast A Good Cry. Each episode is a funny, joyful, and sad reflection on grief.

Reproductive Injustice and Racism with Professor Dana-Ain Davis
Dr. Dan interviews Professor Dána-Ain Davisabout reproductive racism and injustice as well as her recent book Reproductive Injustice: Racism, Pregnancy, and Premature Birth on this important episode. Their conversation sheds much-needed light on one of today’s most important cultural, social, and political issues - obstetric racism. It is a must-listen for everyone.
Dr. Davis specializes in black studies, family/sexual violence, reproductive rights, poverty/welfare policy, and women’s studies. She has authored or co-authored Battered Black Women and Welfare Reform, Feminist Activist Ethnography, Black Genders and Sexuality as well as a number of articles on women and welfare policy.
