GREAT NEWS: Telehealth Flexibilities have been Extended!
On February 3, 2026, President Trump signed H.R. 7148, ending the brief partial government shutdown and restoring key Medicare telehealth flexibilities that had briefly expired.
What this means:
✔ Medicare telehealth flexibilities extended through December 2027
✔ Hospital-at-Home waivers extended through September 2030
✔ Telehealth flexibilities apply retroactively for the shutdown, so claims for telehealth services during the lapse should be paid
These extensions provide important stability for providers and continued access to care for patients.

❤️American Heart Month
February is a reminder to focus on heart health.
According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death in America.
Telehealth makes it easier to stay connected with providers for checkups, follow-ups, and managing conditions like high blood pressure — helping you take care of your heart without missing a beat.

🏫 National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month
When students can’t easily get to appointments, care is often delayed. School-based telehealth helps close that gap by connecting students to providers during the school day.
Palmetto Care Connections supports schools and healthcare partners across South Carolina in delivering virtual care on campus — helping students get timely treatment while reducing missed class time and unnecessary absences.
Check out the SCTA's website to learn more about School-Based Telehealth.
