Fridays = Red Door Ministry
Even without electricity (or hot water or air conditioning) the Red Door ministry continues...last Friday, July 5, YOU responded to the unexpected electrical outage and helped us feed more than 100 people! Thank you to everyone who brought a gas grill and pitched in to prepare and serve hotdogs, hamburgers, french fries, salad, fruit and iced tea and lemonade to our hot, hungry guests. Dominion Power was able to restore our electricity over the weekend. We will update the parish as further repairs are made, so please be sure we have your correct email and cell number in the church records. Thanks be to God!

Parishioners in the News
Do you have good news to share with your church family? Two families from Grace and Holy Trinity were recently featured in neighborhood publications. You can read more about the Telfian family and the Lord-Pawson family by downloading these articles. We are so thankful that both talked about their GHTC involvement, which even led to this article on the Red Door Ministry!
Heartfelt Thanks from Retiring Rector The Rev. Bo Millner
June 30, my last Sunday in the pulpit at GHTC, was such a wonderful gift! You have sent me off in the most positive and joyous way. My heart overflows…and let me list just a few of the things for which I am grateful about the day:
• The worship service was uplifting for me thanks to such great participation from the clergy, the musicians and choirs, the altar guild, the greeters, the acolytes, the liturgical ministers, the ushers and from every person in worship
• The picture book with time line, now signed by so many
• The gift of a new alb…and the meticulously made small alb given as sign of that gift
• The cards and many other gifts given at the reception which I have enjoyed opening and will treasure
• The kind words and amazing songs, from Old Blue Eyes to the Everly Brothers
• The stunning flowers and excellent food, the beautiful reception…thoughtful folks sent me home with a great selection that my whole household enjoyed
• The purse representing gifts from over 100 families in the parish…I hardly know what to say about this overwhelmingly generous gift
• Countless conversations and expressions of good will
For all these things, and more, thank you!  And God bless you!! I will never forget this special Sunday as I retire from 35 years of ordained ministry.
