ASSOCIATION NEWS

From the Desk of the Executive Director

Happy Friday!!

On your way in and out of Sun City, some of you may have noticed changes to the landscaping at the main entrance to the community. I am happy to announce that Landscape Concepts has completed installation of over 5,500 new plantings at the

Rt. 47 entrance to Sun City Huntley. Several different varieties of perennial flowers, shrubs and trees have been installed in this landscape redesign. Steve Redenz, Maintenance Technician, flew the drone over the area and captured this overhead image as well as some video footage included below. Although it will take a season or two for the plants to establish themselves, I believe the change will be breathtaking once complete! Many thanks to our business partner, Landscape Concepts, our very own Steve Redenz, and Grace Gadzinskas for this video! Enjoy! https://youtu.be/RN3pbYsDjrc

Be well,

Deanna Loughran

Sealcoating Update

Weather Permitting

We want to extend our regrets for the last minute schedule changes made this week. They were necessary, but they caused a bit of confusion among the residents and staff. This was an unfortunate week and steps have been taken by Petersen, and staff, to avoid this from repeating itself.

Sealcoating the week of July 24th

This is for the Odd Year Scheduled homes and is of course weather permitting.

The crews work from approximately 8am to 6pm each day. They have several crews working in different areas of the community at one time and your driveway can be sealcoated anytime within that window.

Once you are sealcoated, please remember to keep vehicles off the driveway for at least 24 hours to allow it to cure properly.

Pink Flags: In addition to the notices placed on the doors, Petersen will also place a pink flag at the end of your driveway as a notice that you will sealcoated.
