FSE307 Passport To Fitness Challenge
Sign up to participate in our ‘Passport to Fitness’ challenge during the entire month of October. You will receive a passport that requires you to participate in at least 15 out of 20 fitness events/classes. You must get your passport signed after completing each event/class.
Return your passport to either Prairie Lodge or Meadow View Lodge Fitness Desk at the end of the month. Prizes awarded to those completing their passport. Cost is $8. Click here.

FSE308 Halloween Hustle
Join us Thursday October 27th as we are led by Fitness Instructor Barb Dvorak on a 3-mile fun walk in your favorite costume!!
We’ll enjoy seeing everyone in costume and looking at the decorated houses along the way.
We will gather at PR Fitness Center then head out to the parking lot for a brief warm-up. We’ll walk down Del Webb Blvd taking a left onto Farm Hill Dr., taking a left onto Cold Springs Dr. and taking a left returning to Del Webb Blvd and back to Prairie Lodge. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Northwestern Medicine will host collection sites for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The event provides a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused opioids and other prescription medications. If you throw unused medications in the trash, they can be retrieved and abused or illegally sold. If you flush them, they can contaminate the water supply. *Please note, sharps and liquids will not be accepted. Take Back Day is for community members, not commercial organizations. Bone Health & Osteoporosis
Jennifer Schaffer, physical therapist from Northwestern Medicine Rehab in Cary, will discuss osteoporosis and bone health. She will teach ways to improve your posture and avoid painful injuries or decreased mobility. Complimentary osteoporosis screenings will be available after the lecture from 2 - 4 PM by appointment. Veterans Independence Program | |

What is the Veterans Independence Program?
The Veterans Independence Program (VIP) is a new way of providing you with assistance you need to remain at home. Lovell FHCC VA Medical Center has teamed up with AgeGuide to bring VIP assistance to you.
VIP is a more flexible option than traditional in-home services. You can get the help you want when you want it. While working with a trained options counselor, you will determine what kind of help you need in order to maintain your independence. Using an approved amount of VA funds, you will be able to hire and manage your own help. Click here for more details.

Pickleball: Come and find out what Pickleball, the fastest growing sport in the U.S. is all about. Pickleball can still be played outdoors as long as weather permits. The winter option is playing at the indoor courts at Huntley Park District in the Rec Center gymnasium on weekdays from 7:30 am - 2:00 pm. Theatre Company: Tickets will be on sale Monday, November 7, from 2 to 4:30 PM in the Cedar Room in PL/FV. Tickets are $20.00. Checks or the exact amount of cash please. The Sun City Theatre Company’s Fall production will be, “Anything Goes” featuring music and lyrics by Cole Porter.
