But how did her life really evolve? What motivated her to put her experiences to paper? What difficulties were overcome before the first book was published? Meet Mrs. Wilder, older, wiser and reflecting back on her life. Jessica Michna as Mrs. Wilder will tell you her life story and how she came to produce her literary works. House Salad, Athenian Chicken, Green Beans, Roasted Potatoes, Rolls & Butter, Apple Dessert, Coffee and Hot tea.

Historical Presenter, Michelle Gibbons, will discuss the horrific murders of the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair serial killer, H.H. Holmes and his chilling murder castle. She will discuss Holmes’ life, his crimes ranging from forgery to serial murders, and how he was found guilty for only one of the numerous murders.

Northwestern Upcoming Events

Northwestern Medicine Wellness Center at Sun City is now taking appointments for flu shots.

 

According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control), the “Single best way to prevent the flu is to get vaccinated every year.”


To register for your influenza vaccine, please call the Wellness Center at 847.515.2078. Appointments required. Make your Appointment today!

Charter Club News

Computer Club: Lab is open on Monday and Thursday mornings from 9am to Noon in the Meadow View Lodge.  The computer club offers free classes to members each month. CLICK HERE for a list of classes.



GG&Me Club: This year GG&ME is having a trunk or treat at Arcadia Parking Lot.  There are a few spots left for Charters Clubs or Neighborhoods to have spots to give out treats. Please contact Pam Mosier at trek.1180@gmail.com

 


Model Railroad: We are having a fundraiser at Culver’s in Huntley on Monday, October 21, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Dine out and support our Club. We will also have a Halloween Open House on Sunday, October 27, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Numerous trains will be operating for your viewing enjoyment. Kids of all ages will enjoy a Spooktacular fun filled visit in the Millgrove Building, Lower-Level Rear, 13400 Sun City Blvd.

Woodchuck: The Woodchucks is having an “Ask The Woodchucks” event on Wednesday, 10/23/24. Club members experienced in furniture repair and carpentry will make a variety of wood related repairs. Event is open to all Sun City residents. A sign-up sheet is available at the Meadow View Lodge in front of the display case.
