You Are My Sunshine!

But to you who fear My name, The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings.

~Malachi 4:2

There were several weeks around Christmas where the sun didn’t shine at all for over two weeks. How gloomy those days became, even with the bright lights and tinsel of the season. And, how we longed for the sun to reappear.

It was on one of those cloudy days that I I noticed a phrase, “the sun of righteousness” in the Christmas hymn, “Hark the Harold Angels Sing.” I wondered if it was a typo. I checked it out, and indeed our Lord is referred to as the “Sun of righteousness” in the fourth chapter of Malachi!

Our Lord is indeed our light, our sun, our Savior. He is the light of righteousness in our lives! Even on the gloomiest of days, the Sun of righteousness can shine with His healing rays of light. What a blessing! Let the Son’s Sun shine in you and through you every day!

Spending this time with God will result in many blessings, even in things you may think are impossible.
