Dear SunCoast friends and family,
"For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer." 1 Timothy 4:4-5
Americans celebrate a special holiday of Thanksgiving the fourth Thursday each November. It is a nostalgic time for us in SunCoast MCC because it offers us an opportunity to pause time for reflection; to be still in the moment and let gratitude wash over us. We have so much for which to be filled with thanks!
Quite simply, SunCoast MCC could not exist without the spirit of gracious volunteerism that exists within the church and community. We are blessed by so many volunteers who keep our building and land operating; the grass cutting, weeding, mulching, water running, cleaning, painting and “maintaining” are just a few of the ways so many people pitch in to keep our church and grounds looking spiffy!
People who answer phones, call on those not feeling well, pray to answer needs expressed by the Care Team…these are our rocks on whom we depend in times of need. The volunteers help us be the church.
We are so deeply filled with gratitude for the envelope stuffers, those who review guidelines and conduct research, church decorators, Venice PRIDE volunteers, board members, ministry leaders, activity organizers, the list goes on and on. EVERY single person who gives of their time blesses people they may never meet.
When people search for a church, or turn to the church when in need, they can find SunCoast shining as a beacon of light, offering hope and healing, respite and inspiration, love and transformation. We never know the true impact we have for our community; because of our volunteers, SunCoast MCC is an incredible resource. Thank you, volunteers, thank you for your service, for your time, for your talents, and most importantly, for your giving hearts! YOU are our treasure!
Grace, Love and Peace,
Rev. Vickie Miller | Rev. Nancy Wilson
