Dear SunCoast MCC members and friends,
We pray that you are well and taking precautions to stay healthy. At SunCoast MCC, we continue to monitor our response to COVID-19. To date, we are not aware of any known COVID-19 infections among SunCoast congregants. However, we understand that this is a serious concern and will take the following precautions.
1. WORSHIP
Church services will be held on Sunday, March 15 and March 22 at 10AM BY LIVE STREAM ONLY.
A small group of worship leaders, to include musicians, readers, and communion celebrants will be there to provide as optimal of an experience as possible. On each Sunday, Rev. Nancy and Rev. Vickie will present a sermon/reflection.

Thankfully, we live in an age that virtual church is a possibility. This will help us to stay connected as a community and still worship together through this meaningful season of Lent. While watching send us a message via the form provided. We’d love to hear from you and know who is in attendance.
2. CLASSES AND PROGRAMMING
All church programming will be held either virtually, postponed or cancelled through March 28 and re-evaluated for the weeks following.
Cancellations include:
- What’s So Holy about Holy Week classes, March 17 and March 24
- AA and NA meetings
- Sun Coast Wind Ensemble practices
- CPR/AED class (scheduled off-site)
- SunCoast MCC Congregational Forum, March 22 (to be rescheduled)
Virtual class:
- Every Body Yoga, March 18 and March 25 taught by Rev. Naomi King. Sign up to participate from home: naomiking@zoho.com or (954) 249-6767
3. CHURCH OFFICE
The church building will be closed with staff working either from home or alone in the office.
Please limit your access to the building unless absolutely necessary. This is especially important if you are not feeling well, have travelled by air or on a cruise, been in close contact with someone who has, or is an active health care worker who may have been exposed. Even those who do not feel sick nor have the symptoms may be a carrier and transmit it to others.
4. CHURCH MEETINGS
Please find creative ways to meet with your ministry teams through technology or phone contacts. Our goal is to minimize the number of person-to-person contacts and limit access to the church facility while also continuing to support our on-going ministries.
5. CONGREGATIONAL AND PASTORAL CARE
Our pastors are happy to communicate with you and minister to you during this time.
Please call or email them with any needs:
If you become sick, please seek immediate health care.
Likewise, please contact Rev. Gene Hutter, our Minister of Congregational Care at (941) 497-3740. We will maintain your confidentiality as requested, but want to be of support in prayer and any other ways you may be need assistance.
Lastly, we ask all of our members and congregants to please remain faithful in your offerings especially to our General Fund and to any other special funds as you are able. This is very important to maintain our church’s financial stability.

Please stay tuned for updates to this information, and we deeply appreciate your cooperation in our attempts to curtail the spread of this virus. Many in our church are immune compromised, and this is essential. We can get through this together, with God’s help, if we make a few simple adjustments!
