Ridership during revenue service in January and February, 2019 reached all-time high with the average daily ridership over 6,000 per day. Friday ridership alone in 2019, has averaged more than 6,300. Annually, March is one of the strongest months of the year for SunRail ridership. The first half of March is boasting average daily ridership around 6,400.
The SunRail Business Development and Marketing department have fashioned a list of events and activities during the week of Spring Break for most area schools, March 18-22.
Just for Spring Break
Choo Choo to the Zoo, a free shuttle service from the Sanford SunRail station to the Central Florida Zoo. SunRail riders receive a 20% zoo admission discount with a SunRail ticket or SunCard.
SunRail welcomed New Horizons Service Dogs, and their brand new recipients during their team training on March 7. Service animals are allowed on all SunRail trains.
