Wabi Sabi, an ancient and deeply cherished aesthetic philosophy rooted in Japanese culture, has much to teach us about change. In our current world of accelerated change, it’s important to understand that we can choose how to interpret and respond to change, accepting it not only as inevitable but even beautiful – an aspect of the Divine in form.

With roots in Zen, the timeless practice of Wabi Sabi invites us to refrain from striving after illusory ideals of perfection, and instead surrender to the present moment of our perfectly imperfect lives. Practice Lab

Saturday, April 26, 10:00 am to noon.

This is a time we can connect with one another in person and review and practice the teachings and techniques that Rev. Su brings to our 10:00 AM Spiritual Gatherings on Zoom each Sunday. On April 26the we will be practicing the opening of the chakras through sound, a wave of future medicine, very cool stuff! Hope to see you there.

Field Trip to ISKCON Hindu Temple

Thursday May 15th at 5:45 PM.

The address is 51 Coelho Way A, Honolulu, 96817, which is located on a side street off the Pali. Please arrive by 5:45 PM at the latest, as the event is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. It includes meditation, chanting, and a wisdom talk by one of the elders. We will conclude with a sanctified vegetarian meal prepared by some of the temple's community.

Our next spiritual field trip, which will be an orientation to practicing Zen, will be held in June at the Palolo Zen Center in Palolo Valley.
