Strengthening Our Soul Skills
With Rev. Cynthia Leveque
December 28, 2025
As we approach the end of a year and the start of another it seems natural to both reflect on the past and plan our future. In Unity we have spiritual practices that will enhance reflection and planning. The paradox is that all our spiritual practices are created to bring us to wholeness in our present moment.
So this Sunday, the last Sunday of the year 2025, we will explore the first Unity principle as a practice to reflect, contemplate, plan and experience the Presence: focusing on what can we do when our reflections tell us that the world has pain and unfairness and grief and misery and not the love and care we wish for all.
Let us know and practice this: God is everywhere and always present in every circumstance. This divine energy underlies and animates all of existence.
Two spiritual writers and teachers who are holding light for us right now are Lorna Byrne and Francis Weller.
Lorna Byrne’s profound insights and spiritual teachings have touched the lives of millions around the globe. A spiritual teacher, international bestselling author, and charity founder, she has dedicated her life to awakening people to the spiritual potential within each person.
What sets Lorna apart is her remarkable gift—a divine connection and an incredible, detailed knowledge of the spiritual side of life. She sees angels, other spiritual beings and energy as naturally as we perceive the world around us. This extraordinary ability has existed as a natural part of her daily life since birth.
Francis Weller, MFT, is a psychotherapist, writer, and soul activist. He is a master of synthesizing diverse streams of thought from psychology, anthropology, mythology, alchemy, Indigenous cultures, and poetic traditions. The author of books including The Wild Edge of Sorrow and The Threshold Between Loss and Revelation (with Rashani Réa), he has introduced the healing work of ritual to thousands of people. For more than forty years Francis has worked as a psychotherapist and developed a style he calls soul-centered psychotherapy.
We will learn how they navigate to love and caring in these exact times.
