Weekly Bible Quiz

Topic: “The Light of the World”

Fact: The wise men depicted on Christmas cards as kings, are traditionally Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar. Matthew says that these visitors were following a star, so it may be likely that they were astrologers rather than kings. The Bible doesn't give their names.

Quiz Question:  Who said, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?"?

Email your answer

to: [email protected].

The correct responses will be recognized in the following week's Bible quiz.

The answer to the previous question is: "Saul, later known as Paul" and Rose Gitter, Chad Kourajian and Norlyn Swenson responded correctly! The previous quiz question was: "Which famous New Testament figure was present at the stoning of Stephen?"

Laughing with Lutherans

From The Shepherd's Staff, the newsletter of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Houghton, Michigan:

"Each Wednesday during Advent, the congregation will gather for prayer, medication and preparation. These informal services will be held in the lounge."
