Masks and Social Distancing...
Numerous sources report a recent increase in the incidence of COVID-19 and Omicron Variant on Oahu. Based on the most recent guidelines from the CDC, properly worn masks will still be strongly urged and encouraged inside the building during our Sunday Celebration Service. We will resume taking measures to be equipped for contact tracing. All those attending will be noted.
We are not limiting attendance. Please, persist in holding a vision with us that this challenge, too, shall pass. We ask that you join us in prayer to imagine and envision infection rates declining and soon ceasing.
If you are not feeling well or if you are running a fever, please stay home and take very good care of yourself and your loved ones. Wash your hands regularly, sanitize your surroundings and please avoid high-risk crowds and activities. The CDC and numerous hospitals report that vaccinated people run a significantly lower risk of severe illness than those unvaccinated.

AT-ONE WITH ATONEMENT

Our human experience and the human condition can sometimes bring us to a conclusion that “something is missing.” Life may sometimes present itself as, somehow… incomplete. Each of us lives our lives with a desire for the divine, a desire for a God of an understanding which brings a sense of completion, and wholeness. We may not fully grasp what it is that we desire, and man’s search for meaning can take many twists and turns leaving us perplexed, and uncertain. The shape and form of our search may take myriad structures. For millennia, religion and spirituality have conveyed a solution to this quandary, described by many names. Yet most of Christianity calls this union, atonement. “Atonement” is the word ascribed to what we seek, in order to answer the deeper questions of life, and to offer us a sense of purpose.
Most of us have been given merely one explanation of atonement, and most thinking people find this description and solution to be inadequate, and insufficient. Join us this Sunday, to consider the many different ways that atonement can take place, and we’ll honor the many pathways we each may take in order to experience and express our unity with the divine.

Rev Dr Martin Luther King, Jr Service Opportunity
On Monday, January 17, 2022, a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Service Project will collect non-perishable food for the Hawaii FoodBank, and also feminine hygiene products for the Maʻi Movement.
This is a partnership amongst the NAACP, Windward Buddhist Temple, and the Windward Interfaith ‘Ohana
You are asked to help through Unity Windward & the Windward Interfaith ʻOahana. Bring non-perishable food items or feminine hygiene products to Unity Windward before Sunday, January 16. Collections will be taken to Windward Buddhist Temple on Monday, January 17, 2022, to benefit those in need.

The Women’s Breakfast is back on track. The Safe Access Oahu program requires proof of vaccine or a negative test result in order to enter a restaurant on Oahu. Hawai’i Governor Ige and Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi announced this program to take effect on September 10.
Please, be sure you meet these requirements and we look forward to seeing you at the next Women’s Breakfast, the 1st, and 3rd Fridays of the Month at Ruby Tuesdays at Windward Mall.
