BOOK CLUB IS BACK
On a cold, winter’s night is there a better way to spend time than at your church? On Wednesday, January 29th and February 5th, 12th & 19th, we will gather for Vespers at 6:00 pm. After which, we dive into our latest Book Club selection, The Mountain of Silence. It is available from online retailers and as an ebook. (For the first meeting, make sure to read the first five chapters.)
STEWARDSHIP 2025: PLEASE RETURN PLEDGE CARDS ASAP
Last year it cost $192,950.67 to keep our doors open. That did not include the building project or special relief collections. It was salaries, insurance, utilities, supplies, conventions and our obligation to the archdiocese. In 2023 we spent $528.16 each day and surely as much in this year.
As we plan for next year we are looking to each of you to sponsor our church for a day, a week or more. The goal is to have all 365 days sponsored as we enter into the new year. With inflation, we are planning on $535 per day. With the number of people at church this really should work -- everyone just does their part. A calendar is posted outside the parish hall; follow the progress as we check off the sponsored days. As of bulletin printing time on Friday, we already into July.
Pick up a stewardship card in the narthex or parish hall or click here and complete your pledge ONLINE. Whether you commit to one day, three days, a week or an amount that works for you, let us know so the Parish Council can plan ahead. If you have questions, see a member of the Council; if you have special financial circumstances at home, speak privately with Father Joseph.
