Feed My Starving Children

We received notice that the Feed My Starving Children packing dates begin November 14th. We have reserved 25 slots for a packing shift on Thursday 11/14/24 from 6:00-8:00p.m. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex. They'd like to have slots reserved by Sunday, September 22 with names & email addresses. After that it will be open to the public to register. — Russ Coulombe

New Adult Bible Studies this Fall

Sunday Morning Studies:

Join us on a journey to explore the world Jesus was born into as we study the history leading up to the time of Christ. We'll cover topics such as:

- who were the Pharisees and why was Jesus upset with them?

- why didn't anyone like the Samaritans?

- when and why did the Jews start worshiping in "synagogues" rather than the Temple?

We'll be using the book "The World of Jesus" which is written by an excellent author who has provided other materials for our studies. If you'd like to learn more about this study or to reserve a seat in the class, please let us know. The study began September 8^th .

Pastor Marty’s Bible Study began meeting on September 8th, looking at the Gospel according to Matthew. Join us in Fellowship Hall each Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. All are welcome: high school, college and adults. The fellowship and casual conversational style of our Bible study will continue. Showing up with an open heart desiring to learn and grow in your walk with the Lord is all you need!

Weeknight Adult Zoom Study at 7:00p.m. on Monday evenings. Topic: the book of Luke. All adults are welcome! We meet for about an hour online for fellowship and Bible Study. Link can be found on our website.

Weeknight Refuge College Bible Study: The college group will meet on Tuesday evenings at 9:00 p.m. In September. We will be studying the book of Acts. A variety of games are often played afterwards.

ROUND 2 of "The Chosen" - Starting from the Beginning. We will watch the 8 episodes of Season 1. We began watching season #1 this past week, so you can still join in! Dennis Maakestad will host the viewing and discussion at 4 Greenview Ct. in DeKalb. Study guides will be provided. Email Dennis at dmaak@aol.com to ask any questions.
