Noga Erez is an Israeli singer, songwriter, producer, and the #1 international singer in Israel. She has performed all over the world, including Bonnaroo 2022, and is visiting us to mark the end of her second US tour.

Magenta Sunshine laces danceable rhythms, horn-driven soundscapes, and poetic lyricism. This sextet synthesizes well-crafted songwriting into brass-inspired, funky psychedelia suited for hip shakers and wallflowers alike.

Artist Statement: "Moving Toward Freedom and Peace explores the universal query of what inspires the soul to rise up, to thrive, to move beyond the ordinary. Perhaps it is a striving for connection, a curiosity to discover something new, an experience of something inspiring or beautiful, or a sense of adventure. My work is an effort to connect universal modes of expression and visual representation with traditional Jewish, Kabbalistic, liturgical, and spiritual concepts and sources. The overarching themes that emerge throughout are movement, nature, and an exploration of Light. This show is both a retrospective that includes groupings of pieces from previous exhibits and a reflection of where I am now and where I am headed as an artist. Throughout my career, I have explored the notion that we create our reality, individually and collectively, by what we think, what we say, and what we do. It reflects a growth mindset: a forward-looking view, a hope for the future. I hope that my art will bring healing and inspiration to the world."
Join us on Wednesday, July 13 for a day trip to Chautauqua Institution. Includes Bus transportation from the JCC Benderson Building departing at 9:30 am. Lunch at the Athenaeum Hotel, and a ticket to see the Chautauqua Theater Company production of Indecent in the Bratton Theater. Indecent, inspired by true events surrounding the controversial 1923 Broadway production of Sholem Asch’s God of Vengeance, is set at a time when waves of immigrants were changing the face of America. Music is from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel, is full of joyful human passion, and is a brilliant, moving experience about theater, censorship, and love.

Lunch options include:
Grilled Salmon Israeli Cous Cous
Served with Grilled Summer Squash & Blistered Tomatoes sauced with a warm Lemon Herb Vinaigrette

Seared Chicken Breast
Served with Wild Rice Pilaf, Sautéed Broccolini & Sliced Roasted Red Peppers, sauced with Chicken Supreme Jus

All lunches served Mixed-Greens Salad and Dessert
