Opportunities to Experience & Express

the Transforming Love of Jesus

Lent – Prophet, Priest, & King

In the Old Testament, we read about the role or office of prophet, priest, and king. In the New Testament, we discover that Jesus fulfills all of those offices. He is the true prophet, he is the great high priest, and he is the ruling king who brings his kingdom. We now live into those roles as well. We speak God’s word, and we help to bring healing and hope to our society and we show forth God’s kingdom in our lives.

Sermon Title:

As we continue our Lenten journey through the "Prophet, Priest, & King" series, Pastor Paul is looking at Luke 7:11-17. This passage vividly narrates the compassion and power of Jesus as He raises a widow's son from the dead. In this profound event, Jesus demonstrates the essence of His prophetic ministry—bringing hope to the hopeless, life to the lifeless, and speaking the very words of God into the brokenness of humanity. Pastor Paul will explore how Jesus, as a Prophet, challenges, comforts, and calls us to a deeper faith and a more committed discipleship.

The sermon is titled, "A Prophet in Our Midst"
