First Sunday of Lent
As this year’s Lenten journey begins, take some time to reflect on those areas of life that keep you from being fully committed to Christ. Perhaps you are tempted to keep Jesus at a distance lest he ask something difficult of you or perhaps you find it easier to ignore the call to conversion than to take the steps needed to make a change of heart. Seek out the Sacrament of Penance as a way to overcome the temptations you face. Rely on Christ’s healing presence in this sacrament to accompany and assist you in times of doubt and temptation.
On all the Wednesdays of Lent from 6:00-7:00pm, St. Mary's and St. Joseph's will be open for individual confession along with many of the parishes and chapels throughout the Archdiocese of Boston. The Archdiocese has set up a website, www.TheLightIsOnForYou.org, to help you prepare. It has videos on the Sacrament of Reconciliation, sheets on how to make a good confession, answers to frequently asked questions and more. Please make plans to come and spread the word of this special outreach of mercy.

Join us for Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent after the 12:10 pm Daily Mass at St. Mary Parish.
If you can't make it, pray from home and follow along with the video below recorded at St. Joseph Parish.
From February 26th through the month of March, St. Joseph Food Pantry has been selected to receive a $1 Donation for every $9.99 Bloomin' 4 Good Bouquet with the red circle sticker sold at the Stop & Shop at 160 Summer Street in Kingston.
