Second Sunday of Lent
The readings this week deserve to be read and reread and pondered. “God put Abraham to the test.” A bit scary, isn’t it? Think about it: God put (insert YOUR name) to the test. Perhaps one test you face arises from the disruptions caused by the pandemic – feelings of discouragement, isolation, doubt and fear to name a few! Despite the various difficulties that may need to be faced, listen again to the words God speaks in today’s gospel - “This is my beloved Son. Listen to Him.” Open your heart to Christ; listen attentively to what he is speaking to you, asking of you. How will you respond?
Now through the month of March, St. Joseph Food Pantry has been selected to receive a $1 Donation for every $9.99 Bloomin' 4 Good Bouquet with the red circle sticker sold at the Stop & Shop at 160 Summer Street in Kingston.

A Lenten Retreat at Holy Family in Duxbury
On all the Wednesdays of Lent from 6:00-7:00pm, St. Mary's and St. Joseph's will be open for individual confession along with many of the parishes and chapels throughout the Archdiocese of Boston. The Archdiocese has set up a website, www.TheLightIsOnForYou.org, to help you prepare. It has videos on the Sacrament of Reconciliation, sheets on how to make a good confession, answers to frequently asked questions and more. Please make plans to come and spread the word of this special outreach of mercy.
Join us for Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent after the 12:10 pm Daily Mass at St. Mary Parish.
If you can't make it, pray from home and follow along with the video below recorded at St. Joseph Parish.
