"Virtual" Church School
Nursery - 5th Grades
Church School Offering: January - June
Bricks to "Build" New
Glen Ellyn Food Pantry
Between now and the end of June all of our church school offerings will be donated to the capital campaign to help renovate the new location for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry. Our goal is to raise $150.00 and the Children of First Congregational Church will have a customized brick to greet thousands of our neighbors who visit the GE Food Pantry at their new home for assistance.

Your household may donate via our online portal by clicking here or you may mail a check made out to the church (535 Forest Ave. GE 60137) with "Church School Offering" on the memo line.

If your children or grandchildren did not receive this Unit's activity bags, please contact Director of Christian Education Catherine Curtis.

You may do these activities using:
  • the enclosed lesson booklet
  • along with your classmates via Zoom church school
  • along with the Virtual Church School recorded lessons.

An activity for each Sunday of Unit 4:

  1. January 10 - Jesus Calls the 12 Disciples - friendship bracelets or Christian fish symbol
  2. January 17 - Jesus and the Paralytic - weaving your own mat
  3. January 24 - Jesus and the Storm - calming scented bubbles and bath tub games
  4. January 31 - Jesus Heals Two Daughters - decode messages
  5. February 7 - Jesus Feeds Five Thousand - Peel & Pull sharing
  6. February 14 - The Transfiguration of Jesus - "magic" glasses
