Congratulations to our 8th graders who received the sacrament of confirmation this weekend! Our staff is proud of you, and we pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide you in the years to come.

I would like to highlight two upcoming weekends that are very important for our parish. On May 25th and 26th we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Fr. Bill's Ordination to the Priesthood, and on June 29th and 30th we will celebrate Fr. Bill's retirement. Our parish and school owe so much to Fr. Bill and his many years of dedication to our community! I hope that you will join us at mass on these weekends to show appreciation for all that he has done for us here at Saint Pius X.

Congratulations to Mrs. Henderson's 5th grade class for winning this week's Gospel Value Spotting award! They were recognized by Mrs. Rousseve for showing the gospel value of Responsibility this week when they were learning about mindfulness. They did their best and were open to trying something new. Mrs. Henderson's class will have a dress down day Monday.

ILEARN testing continues this week. All 3rd-8th grade students must have working headphones or earbuds in order to complete the test.

The Christ the Teacher Award is bestowed upon one teacher in each of the Catholic schools in our diocese to recognize teaching excellence.



We are so happy to recognize our 5th grade teacher Katie Sater as the 2023-2024 Christ the Teacher winner!

Congratulations to the Intermediate and Advanced Bands for receiving Gold Awards for their beautiful performances last month. Both bands performed at the Indiana Music Association Band Contest at Penn High School. Go Lions!

The Field Day Committee is trying something new this year! In order to help our volunteers and reduce the disruption to classes, we are asking parents to fill out this form for their children's shirts for Field Day. We understand that some students are uncomfortable with being measured in class, and parents know their children's sizing best. All students will receive their free shirts the last week of school.

Please fill out a separate form for each student.  

Note: Your student will be measured in class against our sample shirts if we do not receive a response. If you are unsure of your child's size, please do not fill out the form. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Caitlin Giordano at chawrysz@gmail.com
