It was wonderful to have our 2nd to 8th graders join us for school Mass last Thursday. Witnessing our students, teachers, and special guests gather in prayer was truly joyful! I invite parents and family members to join us for Mass whenever possible. Your presence is greatly valued, setting a positive example for our students by prioritizing faith in their daily lives. There is a change in our dismissal plans for Monday, August 26. Unfortunately we won't have access to the system that we need to get the pickup car lines set up until Monday. Past experience tells us that releasing pickup line information to parents on Monday and trying to do a regular dismissal that same day would be overwhelming for both parents and staff. Therefore, we will do an open dismissal (pickup from classrooms) Monday from 3:00-3:20 and start our regular dismissal on Tuesday. Watch for an email with dismissal instructions. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

In our continued effort to streamline communication, we are once again using the Remind app as an additional resource for those who like a gentle reminder of important upcoming events, such as late starts, uniform order deadlines or the last day to place lunch orders. Our goal is to maintain clear communication with you without overwhelming your inbox.

All essential information will still be listed in the Sunday Newsletter. We will use this optional application only to send notifications to you for reminders; no new information will be sent via the app. 

Even if you previously used Remind, you must REGISTER FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR by filling out THIS FORM. Upon submission, you will receive an email link to complete your registration. You can choose to receive notifications from the app or receive updates via text messages using your mobile number.

This year, we’ve once again streamlined the back-to-school process by consolidating all required paperwork into a single Google Form.

Step 1: Please review the Family Handbook to familiarize yourself with the policies and important information.

Step 2: After reading the handbook, complete the Google Form to confirm your acknowledgment of the policies and other necessary details. Completing this form is mandatory for all families.

Students should be seated in their classroom by 8:00 am. We recommend dropping students off by 7:55 a.m. to ensure they can get to class on time. Even if morning drop off is still running, students will be marked tardy if they are not in class when the 8:00 am bell rings.

Use it to report absences, request an early dismissal for an appointment or any transportation changes. Please copy the child’s teacher and anyone else that would be involved with the request.

The Blessed Solanus Casey Team is a team of parents, teachers, educational resource professionals, and administration working together to open the doors of Saint Pius X to all students. We are dedicated to creating inclusive learning strategies and resources to enhance and support the learning needs and abilities of all students.

The sign-up link for girls' volleyball is now open to girls in 5th-8th grades. You may find the link HERE or visit our athletics webpage on the school website for more information.

If your daughter is interested in playing volleyball, please sign up by Monday, September 9th. It is recommended that families sign their daughter up during the sign-up window, even if you are unsure of your family schedule or other extracurriculars. There is no guarantee that girls can be added after the deadline has passed.

Here is a timeline of what to expect if you are considering signing up:

• September 9th: Deadline to sign up
• Week of September 30th: Evaluations, if necessary
• Week of October 7th: Practices start
• First weekend of November: ICCL games start
• Season end: No later than December 15th

Please note that the season start and end dates are subject to change.

Craft club for September is open for registration!

We have two ceramic options and two plaque options this month. You are welcome to sign up more than once! 

Cost is $15 per project. Checks and cash may be brought into the office or will be billed through FACTS. Registration is open until September 3.

Dance club is back this September! Watch for an email with more details and registration information for K-5th graders coming Tuesday!

This year the store will stay open throughout the 2024-2025 school year. Orders will be grouped for production at 9 AM ET on the first Monday of September, November, January, and March. Processing may take up to 3 weeks from each batch date, plus additional transit time. Be sure to check for a confirmation email to confirm that your order was successfully placed. You will also receive an email notification when your order is ready and on its way to the school to be sent home with your student.
