PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE

Remember, in the event of severe weather conditions, the decision to close or delay the opening of our school will be made by 6:00 AM. We will communicate this via phone call and email, but you can also check local news, the school website, or the Remind app. Of course, please use your best judgment to determine whether you can safely make it to school during inclement weather. Additionally, as stated in our handbook, we will not send students outside when the wind chill is at or below 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Other safety considerations, such as playground conditions, will also be factored into our decisions.

In Christ,

Chris Milliron

UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES

You can find all of the HASA events and sign-ups HERE on our website!

Over 90 students participated in our inaugural Pious Pages Book Club this November. Here are some of the fascinating facts submitted throughout the month:

  • Blessed Carlo Acutis created a website about God and the Eucharist.
  • St. Maria Goretti died while kissing the crucifix and holding a medal of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
  • St. Francis of Assisi's religious order is called the Friars Minor.

With so many incredible entries, we selected three winners to receive saint prize packages! Congratulations to Cecilia Dietz, Dominick Wnek, and Elias Stout!

We hope your family will continue to join us in celebrating the saints throughout the year. Encourage your child to check out a book from the school library each month to keep learning about the holy men and women who have shaped—and continue to shape—our faith.

It’s time to sprinkle some extra happiness into the school day for our teachers! Help us bring sweet smiles to their faces with a donut, coffee and bagel station on Wednesday, December 18.

Glazed, jelly, powdered or cake - whatever you choose to donate - we will gladly take! It’s easy to “dough-nate” - click HERE!

SPX LIONS ATHLETICS

There will be more volleyball playoffs December 13-15. December 15 is the championship, but our teams' participation is contingent upon their outcomes this weekend. Be sure to check the athletic calendar HERE for those games, updates, changes or cancellations.
