PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE

Saint Pius X will hold a lockdown drill this week. This required safety exercise helps students and staff prepare for emergencies. We're providing advance notice to allow families time for discussion at home, should parents feel it beneficial. While we understand these drills can be concerning, they are essential for teaching students how to react calmly and safely during an emergency. Please don't hesitate to contact me at cmilliron@stpius.net with any questions or concerns.

In Christ,

Chris Milliron

2025-2026 TENTATIVE CALENDAR

5th GRADE FIELD TRIP

Our 5th-grade students had the exciting opportunity to visit the Rachlin Murphy Art Museum on Notre Dame’s campus, where they explored the question: What does it mean to live with a sacramental worldview? Guided by museum educators, students engaged in discussions with works of art that reflect on the sacraments as 1) effective signs and symbols of God’s grace, and 2) physical representations of spiritual truths. The goal was for students to gain a deeper understanding of the sacraments, focusing on the Eucharist as a key example, and then apply that understanding to the other sacraments.
