PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE

It was wonderful to see everyone back at school this week after a well-deserved break. I would like to remind parents that in the event of severe weather conditions, the decision to close/delay opening of our school will be made by 6:00 AM. We will communicate this via phone call and email, but you can also check local news, the school website, or the Remind App.

Of course, please exercise your best judgment as to whether or not you can make it to school safely during times of inclement weather.

Also, per our handbook, we will not send students outside when the windchill is at below 10 degrees fahrenheit. We will factor other safety considerations, like the conditions on the playground, into our calculations as well.

In Christ,

Chris Milliron

SPOTTING GOSPEL VALUES

The 7th grade won a dress down day on Tuesday. They were nominated by Mrs. Cannon and Mrs. Watson for doing a great job during indoor recess. They put things back where they belonged and did so in a timely manner. Congratulations 7th graders!

MLK HOLIDAY

OPEN HOUSE

In previous years, the Open House was for prospective families only. However, following feedback from a variety of stakeholders, we’re expanding access to the event. Now, everyone is invited to join us! This is a great opportunity for current school families to explore their children’s classrooms and take a look at the amazing things happening at SPX!
