PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE

The end of January is a time when Catholic schools in our nation come together to celebrate Catholic education with Catholic Schools Week. This week is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate St. Pius X and the rest of the Catholic school community. The theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2024 is "Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community."

In Christ,

Chris Milliron

SPOTTING GOSPEL VALUES

The lunchroom staff recognized Mrs. Lohr's class for showing the Gospel Value of Respect. They are always the most polite class when ordering lunch, and they use "please" and "thank you" perfectly! Mrs. Lohr's class will have a dress down day on Monday, February 5th (after Catholic Schools Week). Congratulations!

LATE START

CALENDAR CHANGE

Monday, April 8th Saint Pius X will have an early dismissal due to the Solar Eclipse.  School will dismiss at 1:00pm in order to minimize the risk of students looking at the sun during the eclipse, which will peak around 3:00.

CSW STEWARDSHIP PROJECT

The items needed for St. Adalbert can be found HERE.

This year for our Catholic Schools Week Stewardship Project, we will be collecting travel toiletries for the Ronald McDonald House as well as games and other much-needed educational supplies for Saint Adalbert's after-school program.

Please note - only travel size toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothpaste, deodorant) are needed for Ronald McDonald House, as they do not have storage space for larger sizes.

Donation bins will be available in the PEC lobby (some spot as the Thanksgiving food drive). Student Council is excited for both of these projects this year, and thanks you in advance for your generosity!
