PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE

Trimester 2 report cards will be coming home Wednesday. I really enjoy the opportunity to read them and see how things are going. I will sign and review the 5th - 8th grade report cards this trimester, since I focused on K-4th last trimester.

In Christ,

Chris Milliron

SPOTTING GOSPEL VALUES

Congratulations to the 7th grade for winning this week's Gospel Value Spotting award! They were nominated by Mrs. Berry for showing respect during their hearing screening. They were silent while waiting, efficient in the process, and respectful to others who were walking down the hall. The screeners even commented on how considerate and delightful the class was. 7th grade will have a dress down day on Monday.

2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR DATES

CRS RICE BOWL

Welcome to week four of the CRS Rice Bowl!

Here is the week four prayer:

We pray for Evita and all people affected by natural disasters like cyclones, drought and earthquakes.

May they stay safe and have resources to rebuild and thrive.

Amen

DRESS DOWN DAY - NEW DATE

By popular request, the dress down day that was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 13th has been moved to Friday, March 15th so that students can wear green for Saint Patrick's day. All dress code rules apply. See HERE for details.

LUNCH

The April ordering window on Boonli is now open! Order now through March 20 for student lunches in April.

Please consider serving the School Lunch Program. This service is not possible without volunteers. Volunteer HERE for March.

All volunteers are required to have safe environment training.

Free and reduced lunch application can be found HERE.

BAND CONCERT

Congratulations to all of our talented musicians on another fabulous band concert this week! Go Lions!

LOGAN CENTER

This year in conjunction with their stewardship, fifth grade was given the opportunity to participate in the Logan Disability Awareness Challenge. The task was to create a poster that "refocuses how people with disabilities are perceived." All three of our fifth grade classes brainstormed, collaborated, and created a poster to pursue this opportunity.

Congratulations to Mrs. Henderson's class for having their poster selected to go onto the next round! Voting will reopen later this month when the class will compete for a pizza party for the whole fifth grade. Go Lions!

QUIZ BOWL

It was students vs parents for the last day of Quiz Bowl! The parents managed to get the win, but the kids put forth a great effort. Go Lions!
