PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE

I'm happy to report that we are making good progress on our school Strategic Plan. A mixture of our school advisory board members, parents, parish staff, and school faculty and staff have been working diligently in committees to write the plan. We are hoping to present a final draft of the Strategic Plan, which will help us set goals for the next five years, to the superintendent this fall.

In Christ,

Chris Milliron

SPOTTING GOSPEL VALUES

Congratulations to our 8th grade class for earning a dress down day on Monday. They were nominated by Mrs. Kneibel for doing a wonderful job at the SJHS musical last week. They were attentive, respectful and a great audience! Enjoy your dress down day Monday!

EARLY DISMISSAL

2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR DATES

CRS RICE BOWL

Welcome to week three of the CRS Rice Bowl! In El Salvador, it is difficult to know when the rainy or dry seasons will be. The unpredictable weather put the livelihood of Sandra's family in jeopardy. To keep her children healthy, Sandra participated in a Catholic Relief Services’ project on raising chickens.

Here is the week three prayer:

We pray for communities around the world and for our own community.

May we work together sharing our skills and talents so all people can have what they need to reach their God-given potential.

Amen

LUNCH

The April ordering window on Boonli is now open! Order now through March 20 for student lunches in April.

Congratulations to all of our super stars for the magnificent performance last weekend! And a very special thank you to Mrs. Doyle, Mrs. Kneibel, and everyone who volunteered their time and talents to make this event possible. If you would like to order photos or a copy of the show, you can do so HERE.

CONGRATULATIONS SCIENTISTS!

For the last 6 months, two of our 8th graders have been researching, designing, and conducting their own experiments based on topics of their interest. Harper Schmitt gathered data from many of our middle schoolers and ND college students focusing on her project Physical Features in Athletes. Harper received the US Navy/US Marine Corps Award and the Thermo Fisher Young Innovators Challenge Award.

Luke Kocovski took the engineering route answering the question "Which wind turbines are most effective and how they can be improved?" He built many different prototypes of wind turbines and even designed his own. Luke received the IUSB Junior Research Award in Physical Science and won one of the 15 spots in the State Science Fair in Indianapolis later this spring.

Congratulations to both Harper and Luke in their efforts to advance scientific discovery!

CONGRATULATIONS LEBA MASKINY!

Congratulations to Leba Maskiny for receiving GOLD for his trumpet performance at ISSMA!

He received a gold medal in Indianapolis at the ISSMA State Solo and Ensemble Contest.
