PRAYER REQUEST

One of our Pre-K students, Theo Wolfram, was recently diagnosed with ALL, acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He faces a long road ahead with treatment, but his family is hopeful for recovery and is maintaining a positive outlook. Theo's parents have given us permission to share this information with you, as they would greatly appreciate your prayers!

Theo's family has created a CaringBridge webpage where you can follow updates and leave messages for Theo.

GOSPEL VALUE SPOTTING

Congratulations to Mrs. Kirkland's class for winning this week's Gospel Value Spotting Award. They were nominated by Mrs. Eycleshymer for demonstrating the gospel values of responsibility, compassion, and teamwork. They have been working hard on their art projects and working together to problem solve when someone needs help. Mrs. Kirkland's class has earned a dress down day Monday.

SCHOOL MASS

We warmly invite all parents and guardians to join us for school Mass! Here is our schedule for this week:

Wednesday, March 12 - 8:45 am - Mass - Kindergarten-1st grade

Thursday, March 13 - 8:45 am - Mass - 2nd-8th grades

MARCH TO THE ARTS

Join us for the return of March to the Arts - Wednesday, March 12, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM! This event will feature an art show, band concert, musical performances, and K-2 Dance Club performances.

March to the Arts Schedule:

  • 4:30–7:30 PM – Art Show throughout the school, featuring the optional "Night at the Saint Pius X Museum."
  • 5:00 PM – Call time for:
  • All SPX Band Members
  • 1st, 3rd, & 5th Grade General Music Performers
  • K-2nd Grade Dance Club Performers
  • 5:15–5:45 PM – Dance Club & General Music Performances
  • 6:00–6:45 PM – Band Concert

"Night at the Saint Pius X Museum" Art Show:

Students may wear their own art creations that night (crowns, masks, capes, hats, upcycled clothing, etc.) and pose as "statues" to display their work. Students in the show should take their Upcycled Art home if they can. Students can pose for as long as they like – whether for a quick photo or to remain frozen for others to enjoy. Participants should go to any "X" marked outside of their homeroom and can "freeze" for as long as they choose. No "X" will be assigned to one person, but we’d like students to be spread out, semi-close to their own homerooms, if possible.

Band Members, Music Performers, and Dance Performers may also wear their art during the performances if they choose.

Exhibits will be displayed throughout the entire school, so be sure to check out all of our artists' amazing work!

Plus, enjoy fun photo opportunities with paintings. See if you can find all three!

Volunteers are needed for the event! Sign up HERE.

2025 SOLO & ENSEMBLE CONTEST

More than 40 musicians from Saint Pius X took part in the 2025 Solo and Ensemble Contest this year, putting in tremendous effort to prepare challenging pieces for their performances in front of a judge. Every student from Saint Pius X earned a gold rating!

A special congratulations to Lorenzo Albahari (violin), Aidan Ganser (piano), and Leba Maskiny (trumpet), who advanced to the State Solo and Ensemble Contest. We are incredibly proud of their achievements. Go Lions!

CRS RICE BOWL

This week's prayer:

Jesus, Bread of Life,

As we encounter you in the Eucharist this Lent, nourish us with your love,

unite us in communion with our sisters and brothers, showing us how we are connected.

Transform our hearts, that we may be moved to share bread for life with our global family and work for a world where all can thrive.

Amen
