BATTLE OF THE BOOKS

Calling All 4th and 5th Grade Readers! Parents, you're invited too!

Join us for an informational meeting to learn about the exciting Battle of the Books competition!

Date: October 30th

Time: After School

Location: SPX Library

What is Battle of the Books?

It's a fun and engaging reading competition where students dive into a variety of great books and compete to see who knows them best!

How it Works:

  • Read: Students read from a selected list of books.
  • Discuss: Parent-led teams discuss the books and prepare together.
  • Compete: Teams of four answer questions about the books in a thrilling quiz-show format.

The big competition will take place in late February. It's a fantastic way to encourage reading, teamwork, and fun! Hope to see you there!

3rd GRADE FIELD TRIP

Last week, the third graders wrapped up their economics unit with a field trip to the South Bend Chocolate Factory, where they saw real-world examples of what they have been learning.

PARISH NEWS

COMMUNITY NEWS

Join us as we unite Catholic schools from the South Bend side of the Diocese of FW-SB to push universal school choice Across the Finish Line! On November 12th we are having a short conversation on the effort My School Options (MSO), the Institute for Quality Education (IQE), and the Indiana Non-Public Education Association (INPEA) are making to remove all income requirements for the Choice Scholarship (voucher). This would mean that all children in Indiana get a voucher and no parent would need to submit financial documents to prove their income for the voucher as part of enrollment. Come at 6:30pm and learn how your story is at the center of Indiana becoming a universal school choice state for the very first time!
