SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR STUDENTS

The Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend created a safe environment educational program for all children enrolled in their Catholic schools and parish religious education programs. The diocese established this important program to fulfill one of the mandates of the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People.

In our diocese, children receive this educational program every year. Beginning in October your children will be presented this material during their religion classes. Grades preschool through 8th grade will be presented with very age-specific safe environment training.

Presentations will begin in early October. Parents may view all Safe Environment information offered by the diocese HERE. If parents do not want this training offered to their child, they may download the “Safe Environment Opt Out” form, found HERE and return the form to the RE office. Return the form to MaryKate Boyle in the RE office. Today is the last day to submit your forms. Contact Mary Kate Boyle, mboyle@stpius.net, or Babette Zielinski, bzielinski@diocesefwsb.org, at the Diocese of Fort Wayne/South Bend for more information.

FAMILY HANDBOOK

Completing the handbook form is mandatory for all families.

Step 1: Please review the Family Handbook to familiarize yourself with the policies and important information.

Step 2: After reading the handbook, complete the Google Form to confirm your acknowledgment of the policies and other necessary details.
